SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION – The school administration is the responsibility of the principal, assistant principal, the school council, and the St. Mary’s Church pastor.  The school council consists of ten appointed/elected members, the Parent Teacher Club (PTC) president, the principal, and the pastor.  The administration maintains an open-door policy; the principal and the assistant principal are available to students and parents to discuss school issues and concerns.

CLERGY – The school benefits from the leadership and guidance of the pastor.  As part of the larger parish, the school works with and is enriched by the other parish departments and groups.

FACULTY – The 21 faculty members of St. Mary’s School have an average of 13 years teaching on this campus; they have accumulated 272 years of experience at St. Mary’s.  This vast experience and continuity builds a learning environment in which the administration and faculty know the children, their families, and their backgrounds.   The faculty plans together to provide a challenging curriculum for all students.  The total staff participates in continuing education seminars for both academic and religious training.  The staff is committed to integrating technology into all aspects of the curriculum.

OFFICE STAFF – The office is the communication center for the school.  The friendly staff regularly assists students and parents in all types of activities.  The staff efficiently handles all financial transactions and schedules appointments for the administration and staff.  They complete multiple tasks every day for smooth school operation.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT – St. Mary’s depends on active, involved parents to complete the school program.  The Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is the organization that fosters parent involvement and channels parent enthusiasm into fund-raising festivals.  The annual Turkey Dinner generally feeds about 5,000 people in a community of 8,000.  The MaiFest Celebration closes the school year with a fish fry and again raises money for the school.  Besides raising funds, the parents are actively involved in the school program.  Parents are present daily as crossing guards, mentors, tutors, office aides, and teacher aides.  The teacher appreciation committee provides a luncheon for the entire faculty every month, and the committee gives every teacher a birthday gift.
