The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to create and promote a warm and welcoming atmosphere for worship at weekly Masses. This dedicated team serves at the Masses by greeting guests, handing out bulletins, ushering people to an open seat, and helping with the weekly collections. The group is large enough that a Hospitality volunteer should only be responsible for helping at ONE regularly scheduled Mass a month (for example, the 9:00am Mass on the second Sunday). There are no regularly scheduled meetings and the duties normally require arriving about 15 minutes before Mass and leaving about 15 minutes after.
Additional opportunities to help would be during the Christmas holidays and Easter season. We are often in need of Hospitality Ministers to help with the numerous Masses held at these times.
Whether you are new to the parish or have been serving on other ministries, the Hospitality Ministry is a wonderful way to enrich your faith and meet fellow parishioners. The joy of serving others makes the Christian life complete.
